Deputy Barrister Emmanuel Akomaye Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria Mr. Akomaye was appointed by His Excellency, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, President of Nigeria as the pioneer Director-General of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in February 2003 and was confirmed by the Nigerian Senate in March 2003. Mr. Akomaye is a Solicitor and Advocate of the Nigerian Supreme Court. He prosecuted senior bank officials at the Failed Banks Tribunal, Enugu Zone, Nigeria between 1995 and 1996. He conducted several criminal and civil cases in both trial and appellate Courts in Nigeria between 1991 and 1997. Mr. Akomaye is closely involved in the nurturing and establishment of the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) which became operational in January 2005.

Paul Wolfowitz President of the World Bank Mr. Wolfowitz was unanimously approved as 10th President of the World Bank Group by the institution’s Board of Executive Directors on March 31, 2005. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Wolfowitz spent more than three decades as a public servant, ambassador and educator, including 24 years in government service under seven U.S. presidents.
