GOPAC Overview

The Global Organization of Parliamentarians against Corruption (GOPAC) is an international network of parliamentarians dedicated to preventing corruption through good governance. Good governance relies in part on parliamentarians exercising their democratic roles in an effective way, that is, legislation, oversight and representation. The Task Force works with the World Bank Institute and other international expert organizations to establish global benchmarks, synthesize lessons members draw from their experience as parliamentarians, and working with GOPAC chapters, governments, development organizations, and civil society to improve parliamentary oversight in practice.
