The GOPAC Secretariat invites all GOPAC members and interested parties to submit articles for publication in the upcoming GOPAC Newsletter. Articles should be less than 350 words and focus on issues of anti corruption and good governance. Please submit all articles to info@gopacnetwork.org

 


 

 

Conference Information

 

 

The Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption (GOPAC) and its African Chapter (APNAC) are proud to partner with the Parliament of Tanzania to host the 2nd Global Conference of Parliamentarians Against Corruption, which will be held in the Arusha International Conference Centre ( Arusha, Tanzania). The Conference will bring together parliamentarians from around the world to develop a concrete plan of action for GOPAC and its chapters, working with other international organizations to engage in the fight against corruption.

Key Objectives

  • Entrench GOPAC’s mission to combat corruption by improving parliament’s effectiveness as an institution of oversight and accountability through– peer support, education and leadership for results.
  • Provide a valuable learning event for parliamentarians by linking peers and experts, and establish an agenda for action.
  • Showcase the considerable success of APNAC, but also comparable work in other GOPAC regions.
  • Support the Parliament of Tanzania’s efforts in the fight against corruption.

Pre Conference Program

The Parliament of Tanzania will be hosting a pre-conference program on September 18-19 th, 2006. The program is free of charge to all participants and the Parliament will be covering the cost of hotel rooms for the evening of the 18 th and 19 th as well. MORE INFORMATION

Conference Program

The Conference will consist of plenary sessions, workshops and regional chapter meetings. The workshops provide an excellent opportunity to learn about anti-corruption issues and initiatives from colleagues and experts, and to work together to develop a plan of action for GOPAC and its chapters. Workshop topics include:
