Types of Treatment
It is a general term that describes a massage offered with the goal of obtaining a therapeutic benefit on a specific problem and /or decrease pain. This form of massage therapy is effective in treating a variety of conditions such as pain, stiffness, headaches, athletic injury rehabilitation, frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel, tendinopathy, sciatica, back pain, neck pain, etc...
People tend to assume therapeutic massage means deep tissue massage. But this is not always the case. Deep tissue massage is great at modulating pain at more advanced stages, and creating a deeper effect in stronger individuals. It may not be what you need on a particular day. A good therapist will apply specific techniques and the right amount of pressure to address your need, and sometimes that’s a light touch. Our therapists will use a combination of techniques depending on what your body needs.

Massage can help to promote a healthy pregnancy by increasing circulation, promoting blood flow, and encourage musculoskeletal health; reduce trigger points, spasms, and hyper toned muscles in the neck, back, and pelvis.
It is a massage that uses smooth, heated stones. The stones are basalt, a black volcanic rock that absorbs and retains heat well. It is a deeply soothing and relaxing form of massage. The heat of the stones helps muscles release more quickly than in traditional massage.
What to Expect: Before you arrive, the massage therapist warms the stones in about 120 to 150 degree water. We have stones of various shapes and sizes.
The therapist uses Traditional Swedish Massage while holding the heated stones. The stones may be left on specific points along your spine, or in the palms of your hand or between your toes to improve the flow of energy in your body. As the stones cool, the therapist replaces them with another one.
