LINA GUTIERREZ, RPT | |
I come from Colombia where I obtained my physiotherapy degree in 1998. Then I took a Major step in my career when I decided to immigrate to Canada. I obtained my Canadian Physiotherapy Licence in 2003 from the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy.
I completed the McKenzie Institute Certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment (how movement can be used to treat pain) in 2008. I also have a wide ranging postgraduate training in the areas of Functional Dry needling ( resetting muscle function to relieve pain), Selective Functional Movement Assessment ( how movement is affected by pain) and Manual therapy (hands on treatment).
I am well experienced in the assessment and treatment of Mechanical pain and believe that patient education is the key to a positive therapeutic outcome and prevention of further injury. During our sessions, I provide hands on physiotherapy, therapeutic exercises, postural advice and education.
I also enjoy the challenges gained from running a successful family business, exercising and spending time with my two daughters. |

Having been an athlete, I have a high appreciation for the rehabilitation process and apply this to my experiences treating both acute injuries and persistent orthopaedic conditions. I am a physiotherapist with the Canadian freestyle ski team. I have an interest in a multimodal approach compromising elements of manual therapy, exercise, acupuncture and myofascial release. I am dedicated to further education and I completed my SFMA certification, Orthopedic Level 2 Manual Therapy for the Upper and Lower Extremities and McMaster Contemporary Medical Acupuncture. DAVID LI, BHK, M.Sc., P.T., Registered Physiotherapist
I obtained my Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2016 from Queen’s University after graduating from the University of Ottawa with an Honours Bachelor with Specialization in Human Kinetics. I focus on providing evidence based treatment to my patients, with an emphasis on manual therapy and individualized exercise prescription. I strive to educate my patients so that they will be well informed about their conditions. I believe that this will enable them to play an active role and to become fully engaged in their rehabilitation. I believe strongly in continuing education to improve my skill set and knowledge base, and will be pursuing courses in manual therapy, acupuncture, and taping. I also aim to be a certified MDT practitioner in the near future. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy getting a good workout at the gym, playing tennis, and travelling.
