Acupuncture
Effective April 1, 2013, Acupuncturists and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioners became a regulated health profession in Ontario. This means that in Ontario, practitioners must be regulated by CTCMPAO (the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario) in order to practice. This College is a self-regulatory body that ensures Ontario practitioners meet licensing and other professional requirements.

Acupuncture is a component of the Chinese health care system that can be traced back at least 2,500 years. The general theory of acupuncture is based on the premise that there are patterns of energy that flow through the body that are essential for health. If there is pain or ill health, acupuncture is a form of treatment that re-balances the body. Acupuncture is used to treat people with a wide range of illnesses and pain. Its focus is on improving the overall well being of individuals by inserting fine needles into acupuncture points, which then stimulate the body's own healing response and help restore its natural balance.
I have been in clinical practice for over 15 years and my focus is on the Chinese classical approach to acupuncture, where the body is looked at as a whole. I believe that health and well being can be achieved through a balanced lifestyle, exercise, diet, and plenty of rest. I look forward to treating you.
